Voices of the Future
On the 16th of January 2024, Royal assent was granted for the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill became an Act of The Scottish Parliament, the UNCRC (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024.
To celebrate Scotland's commitment to advancing children's rights we want you to be involved in a nation wide art project "Are ye hearing us? AYE?!"
The rhetorical question posed by "Are ye hearing us? AYE?!" affirms UNCRC Article 12 which asks that every child has the right be listened to and taken seriously.
Simply record your children and young people's voices saying, singing, signing or chanting "Are ye hearing us? AYE!".
We encourage your school, youth group or club in your community to be as creative as you want with your "Are ye hearing us? AYE?!"
Aye you'd better be!
Aye as in yes.
Aye to the I.
Aye to responsibility.
Aye to participation and decision making.
Aye to empowerment, self-expression and change.
Aye to connection in community.
Aye to the unity, strength, courage and passion in our young folk.
